This work focuses on networking among stakeholders in the process of creating a wine tourism destination. The stakeholders’ strategy contributes to the health of this sector by providing it with a framework and a structure for development. The case of the Loire Valley is particularly interesting because it has only recently been developed as a destination. However, the network of stakeholders is not always sufficient to support the structures and highlights some difficulties to be resolved, particularly in terms of professionalizing the sector. This work will seek to show that, beyond networking stakeholders, real work needs to be done to professionalize the sector and build national cohesion in order to offer effective wine tourism.
