La raffinerie Landulpho Alves (BA) dispose d’une unité de séparation des paraffines linéaires issues des flux de raffinage qui utilise le procédé d’adsorption en phase vapeur et la zéolite 5A comme adsorbant. La technologie est celle d’Union Carbide - Procédé ISOSIV. Peu d’usines dans le monde fonctionnent actuellement avec cette technologie. Le procédé ISOSIV a ensuite été remplacé par d’autres plus efficaces et n’a depuis lors fait l’objet d’aucune amélioration. Les entreprises qui possèdent des usines de séparation des paraffines utilisant cette technologie doivent chercher à les améliorer sur le plan industriel afin de maintenir la qualité et la compétitivité de leurs produits. Face à ce problème, le présent ouvrage aborde et discute les propriétés d’adsorption des n-paraffines dans la gamme C10 à C13 sur l’AlPO4-17 et le SAPO-18, comme alternative à la zéolite 5A. Les résultats présentés dans cet ouvrage sont le fruit d’une recherche scientifique.
